Purchases from Gathered and Woven are not subject to UK VAT. However, if purchasing from outside the UK, you may be liable for tax, or customs/ import charges in your own country. Please note that I have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. All charges are the responsibility of the customer; should you have any concerns, or questions, please check with your local customs and postal services for details of any potential charges before making a purchase.

The new EU regulations came into force 1 July 2021. Gathered and Woven is not VAT registered. If you have any concerns, please check with your local customs, or postal services for details. You may find that your parcels journey takes a little longer to reach you due to potential customs delays in the receiving country. Please consider this prior to placing your order.

All orders are normally posted within 2-3 working days of the order being placed. However, during busy times of the year, this time frame may increase. I am unable to post orders on Public Holidays. Please also check individual listings for a specific shipping timeframe.

What happens if my order exceeds 2kg in weight?

Unfortunately, I am unable to post orders exceeding 2kg, including packaging, as this exceeds the maximum weight limit for Royal Mail Small Parcels.

If your order surpasses this weight, the postage cost at checkout will automatically revert to £0.00. To proceed, please adjust your order by removing an item from your basket.

I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Please kindly note that an order cannot be sent to a PO address if the method of shipping is “Tracked and Signed.”

Shipping Update: Germany, EU, and Northern Ireland

LUCID -

I regret to inform you that I no longer ship to European destinations due to the requirements of the LUCID Packaging Register. This system ensures that packaging sent is properly recycled. Whilst registering with LUCID is free, businesses must partner with a dual systems provider, responsible for managing recycling on behalf of consumers. This partnership involves an annual fee based on the weight and type of packaging used, as well as additional administrative tasks. Unfortunately, I am unable to justify these costs and requirements at this time, though I deeply respect the purpose and importance of this initiative.

GPSR -

Additionally, I no longer ship to the EU or Northern Ireland due to the updated General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) in the EU. These new rules, which incepted 14 December 2024, introduce further complexities that currently make delivery to these regions unfeasible for my business.

Once your order is accepted, you will receive a confirmation email to acknowledge your purchase.

When your order has been dispatched, you will receive another email notifying you that your parcel is on its way.

If you have selected a tracked and insured shipping option, your tracking number will be included in the dispatch notification email, allowing you to monitor your parcel's journey.

Please note that your package will be sent to the delivery address provided at the time of ordering. Unfortunately, once the parcel is dispatched, I cannot amend the delivery destination.

Please note that I am unable to initiate inquiries with Royal Mail regarding delayed or potentially lost parcels until 25 working days have passed for overseas orders. Royal Mail does not accept claims, or classify parcels as missing or lost until this timeframe has elapsed.

In the meantime, kindly check with your local Post Office or inquire with neighbours, as your parcel may have been misdelivered. Thank you for your understanding.
